Originally from Belarus, I completed my studies in Technical Design and Production at the Moscow Art Theater School. In 1991, I moved to the United States.

After building sets for Smith College, Yale School of Drama, Yale Repertory Theater, and other theater shops, I turned my skills to remodeling, finish carpentry, and custom cabinet work.

I now live and work in the Westville Village neighborhood of New Haven, where as sole proprietor of SMG Woodworking, I specialize in high quality custom woodwork, furniture, and cabinetry.

Whether it is kitchens, bathroom vanities, fireplace mantels, unique furniture or bookcases, I bring the same meticulous craftsmanship and years of design and building experience to each of my projects.
